Type3 Solutions Inc ("Type3", "we") operates the Type3 Workforce Platform, an internal business system used only by Type3 employees. This policy covers the platform's connection to QuickBooks Online, which is provided by Intuit Inc. It describes what the connection accesses, why, where the information is kept, and who can see it.
The platform is not offered to the public and has no consumer users. Only Type3 employees use it, and the only QuickBooks Online company it connects to is Type3's own. No customer, vendor or other business connects their QuickBooks account to it.
With the authorization of a Type3 QuickBooks administrator, the platform reads from Type3's QuickBooks Online company: company information, customers and projects, products and services, invoices, and expense transactions. When Type3 enables it, the platform also creates and updates Type3's own customer invoices in QuickBooks. The connection requests only Intuit's accounting scope. It never accesses payment card data, bank credentials, or payroll records held by Intuit.
To reconcile and issue Type3's customer invoices from certified timekeeping records, to record payment status, and to attribute costs to Type3's contracts. These are Type3's own accounting and government-contract recordkeeping activities.
The QuickBooks data involved may include the names and business contact details of Type3's customers and vendors and the names of Type3 employees as they appear on invoices. The platform does not collect information about individuals beyond what already exists in Type3's accounting and personnel records.
Authorization tokens and information retrieved from QuickBooks are stored on systems owned and controlled by Type3, protected by access controls, multi-factor authentication and encryption at rest and in transit, within an environment maintained to the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) practices Type3 is assessed against. Access is limited to Type3 employees whose duties require it. We do not sell information, and we do not share it with third parties except Intuit as the source system, our accountants and auditors under confidentiality, and government authorities where a contract or law requires it.
Information is retained for as long as Type3's accounting and government contract recordkeeping obligations require, and then removed in accordance with Type3's record retention schedule.
A Type3 QuickBooks administrator can revoke the connection at any time, either from the platform's disconnect function or from the connected apps settings of the Intuit account. Revocation invalidates the platform's authorization tokens immediately.
QuickBooks Online is provided by Intuit Inc under Intuit's own terms and privacy statement, which govern Intuit's handling of the data it holds. This policy governs Type3's handling only.
